Face Proof printed on India paper only by the National Bank Note Company (New York) in issue colors. 33.5cm by 26.6cm. Orange frame and coupons. Eagle at the top center over arcing title. Left and right end with Civil War style vignettes. Large 500 dies in upper corners composed of Durand patented elements. Orange 500 protector. There are two rows of coupons remaining with the bond Proof (from the 39 originally). This type is confirmed in Hessler. Also, Ford VI: 482 had a full bond remainder with all coupons attached which realized $6,900. This has a body hole at the left in the vignette, thins, wrinkling, but has strong color.
