Obverse: radiant head of St. Peter, SANCTVS PETRVS AP[OSTOLVS] around; Reverse: papal arms, tiara and keys above. A <strong>VERY SCARCE</strong> type with strong detail throughout the captivating design. The only other example to recently appear at auction was from the collection of Eric P. Newman, which although graded a point higher than this example, brought a hammer of $2,800 when it sold in 2014.NGC MS-63.
