Identified as the "louis dor aux deux L" type in France and struck from 1720 to 1723 during the John Law period. <strong>VERY SCARCE</strong> as a type when compared to the slightly later (1726-40) "louis dor aux lunettes" issues. Struck from rusty dies, this piece showcases plenty of luster with some remnant adjustment marks at the far edges. The very finest example of this date and mint combination graded by either NGC or PCGS.NGC MS-64.
