Obverse with the newly crowned king on horseback, inscription: "A NORODOM 1er ROI DU CAMBODGE" around, and the date 1860 below; Reverse: Cambodian arms with the inscription: "SES MANDARINS ET SON PEUPLE RECONNAISSANTS". The crudely applied silvering is lost from some areas of the design on the obverse, but is essentially complete on the reverse.
