VF Details--Cleaned (PCGS).Plenty of bold definition remains from a nicely centered strike to make this mid grade early dollar attractive for budget minded type and variety purposes. Wispy hairlines and a somewhat glossy texture explain the PCGS qualifier, but otherwise brilliant surfaces are starting to retone in the protected areas around many of the devices. The median rarity among the three overdate varieties of the 1799 dollar, BB-142 has an extant population of fewer than 750 coins in all grades.
