湖南铜元当十。反面缺小花饰。即使用放大镜观察不像是因磨损而消失的。"HU - NAN" 的"A"从缺。从此推则可能因为模具装料后以致此效果。久经清洗，已重新包浆。内外均呈轻微的铜锈。即便有瑕疵依然别具吸引力。值得深究。PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, EF Details Secure Holder.

CHINA. Hunan. 10 Cash, ND (1912). PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, EF Details Secure Holder.cf.CL-HUN.53; cf.Y-399; cf.CCC-164; cf.Duan-0820; cf.W-354 (V-24). Raised ball on obverse; missing rosette on reverse. Upon further inspection under high magnification using a microscope there does not appear to be any evidence of a rosette on the reverse. The "A" in "HU - NAN" is missing. The missing rosette along with other aspects of the design features could be the result of die filling. Cleaned long ago now toned. Minor deposits scattered throughout. Overall a pleasant example despite the noted defect. Interesting and deserving of further research.
