Fr. 28a. 1880 $1 Legal Tender Note. PCGS Very Fine 20.，A new variety has recently been discovered on the 1880 $1 Legal Tender note bearing the Scofield-Gilfillan signature combination. The variety is the engraved "Series of 1880" which is located in the top back margin. This engraved date is only on very early issued Fr. 1880 $1s and is not seen on the Fr. 29 through 33 1880 $1 Legal Tender Notes. PCGS has only graded three examples in all grades and this is the second example to be auction as the first, a PCGS Very Fine 35PPQ was sold by us at our 2017 ANA august sale for $2820.，，
