1787 Massachusetts Cent. Ryder 2b-A, W-6040. Rarity-2. Arrows in Left Talon, Horned Eagle. AU-55 (PCGS).,159.2 grains. Very sharp and about as a full a strike as might be found on a Massachusetts Cent, the pleats and folds in Indians tunic fully delineated where not lightly worn, as are the eagles feathers and shield lines on the reverse. Dark brown with light iridescent copper in the protected areas of the devices and legends, the die erosion in the form of a "horn" is sharply delineated between eagles head and H of MASSACHUSETTS.
