Draped bust of Maori Warrior right dividing "One Penny" and "Token"; Reverse: Central inscription divided into the three sections "Die Sinkers Seal Engravers Medallists", "Button Check Token Military & Masonic Ornament Makers" and "100 Collins St East", "Stokes & Martin" above, "Melb(our)ne" below. Well struck despite slight weakness at the rim at about 6 oclock. Lovely chocolate patina on the obverse with hints of original mint red amongst the devices of the reverse. Though technically an Australian token these were struck to be exported and to circulate in New Zealand. NGC AU-58 BN.
