Dav-4212; CNI XII-68. Draped bust; Reverse: Saint John baptizing Christ. Struck during the middle of his long 53 year reign, as Cosimo III Medici steered Tuscany into a relentless economic decline. The piece offered here shows little of the extenuating circumstances the once great city-state was in at the time. Exceptionally well preserved with deep old cabinet tone and underlying luster displaying hints of gold, red and blue amongst the devices. <strong>RARE</strong> in this state of preservation.
