Light yellow gold with bright reflectivity and luster on both sides. A little soft at centers, mostly visible at the base of the shield. Struck on a slightly out-of-round planchet, leaving the denticles a bit short on the left side of the obverse. A very good looking piece with no significant defects. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian and Ecuadorian Coins.<p>From Lester Merkins auction of December 1973, lot 563.
