Frosty and lustrous, quite different in character from the highly prooflike 8 Escudos from Popayán of this era. A broad frame of denticles is present at the base of the obverse, while the reverse is better centered. A bit soft on the reverse crown, but essentially problem free. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian and Ecuadorian Coins.<p>From Hans M.F. Schulman, August 1969.
