Silver gray surfaces are pleasingly smooth in hand with ample evidence of a satin finish from the dies. From a mintage of just 548,000 pieces, the lowest for the type after those of only the 1916-S, 1921 and 1921-D. The 1921-S is by far the most conditionally challenging issue of this quartet, being especially difficulty to locate in grades above EF, as here.，PCGS# 6585.
