The strike is trivially off center toward the upper obverse, although the reverse is better centered and both sides retain bold definition to all devices. A somewhat glossy texture is noted for accuracy. Due to a mintage of 47,150 pieces for the year, the 1815 half dollar -- all examples of which are 1815/2 overdates -- is a key date issue in the Capped Bust series that is eagerly sought at all levels of preservation.，PCGS# 6108.
