Saint Louis, Missouri. $50 1882 Brown Back. Fr. 515. The Continental NB. Charter #4048. PCGS Very Good 10.,Excellent signatures, that of the president is exceptionally bold. This high-denomination Brown Back note, very attractive for the assigned grade, is a numismatic landmark-the ultimate in rarity. This bank was chartered on May 1, 1889. The founding president was George A. Baker, and Charles W. Bulen was the first cashier. Its business life was rather short in terms of banks of the era and it was liquidated on July 31, 1902. Nice appeal for the technical grade with just some edge repairs observed and mentioned by PCGS Currency in the comments section of the holder.
