CC-87. Continental Currency. January 14, 1779. $1. PCGS Fine 15.,Signed by James Wilson, signer of the Declaration of Independence. This is not his official signature, but rather that of an amanuensis. The letter J is below the a in his first name and the W in his last name does not have the signature swoop across most of the rest of the letters as it is supposed to. With that said, even with this signature it is an extremely desirable note since very few of his signatures are found. He only signed for April 11, 1778 and January 14, 1779 Continental series. PCGS comments: "Splits and Minor Edge Damage; Tape Repair at Center".
