Gem Mint State.，This superb medal has lovely deep milk chocolate brown surfaces accented by light traces of blue and gold iridescence. The fields are quite reflective and contrast nicely with the sharp satiny devices. A few microscopic surface marks can be detected, but none impairs the visual appeal of this lovely piece. Another scarce variant of this highly desired medal, with just 167 examples reported to have been made between 1892 and 1904.
