Both sides are fully struck with an overall smooth, billowy satin texture. With 962,638 coins included therein, the 1884-CC is the most common Morgan dollar represented in the various GSA sales of the 1970s. This total represents a staggering 84.60% of the issues mintage of 1,136,000 pieces. While we handle numerous examples of this issue in original GSA holders in any given year, few grade finer than MS-65.
