GREAT BRITAIN. Sovereign, 1887. NGC PROOF-61 CAMEO.Fr-392a; S-3866B; KM-767. Repositioned legend where "G:" is now closer to crown. Mintage of only 797 pieces. Sharply struck as would be expected being a Royal mint product with hard flashy proof surfaces and stark contrast to the frosted devices. Light directional hairlines on the obverse now somewhat subdued from attractive honey-gold tone in the open fields which transitions to a lovely light apricot in the protected areas and amongst the devices.
