CANADA. Cent Trial Strike in Brass, 1937. Paris Mint. PCGS SP-64 Secure Holder.KM-TS5; DC-19. Trial strike of the adopted design produced at the Paris mint. The Royal Canadian Mint was busy producing coins for Great Britain and was unable to meet the needs for producing coinage for local use. Struck on a slightly thicker planchet than are found on the regular circulation issues. Minor spots mentioned for accuracy. Sharply struck as would be expected with flashy proof surfaces and stark contrast with the frosted devices. Lovely iridescent tone showing hues of blue-green and red-orange. Quite the treat for the specialist of Canadiana.
