Bare bust of Francis to the right, His name and title around. Signed "I. N. WIRT" below the bust. Reverse: "LEGE ET FIDE" surmounts the famous Hoop Crown of the Holy Roman Empire. Below, an orb, crossed sword and scepter are surmounted on the Royal Stole. Light contact marks are noted on the surface of both sides, not at all surprising on a large medal struck in this relatively soft metal.
