CHINA. Sungarei (Sinkiang). 2 Mace, 1897. Tihwa Mint.L&M-831; Kann-1033; Y-11; Wenchao-pg.241 #312. In 1897, small quantities of dragon series coinage were produced by the mint at Tihwa. A total of four denominations were struck, 1 Mace, 2 Mace, 4 Mace and 7 Mace 2 Candareens. Of these, only the 1 Mace and 2 Mace were released into circulation. This was done in small numbers on a limited basis. Very few examples are known to exist today, when encountered they are normally found in well circulated condition. <br /> Some surface corrosion, still good detail present with clear “SUNGAREI”.NGC VG Details--Damaged.Wa She Wong Collection
