CHINA. Chekiang. Cancelled Pattern 3.6 Candareens (5 cents) Reverse Muled with Bolivia 5 Centavos Token Bbverse, ND (ca. 1902). Struck at the Birmingham Mint.L&M-281(for type)/Rulau-Coc 6 (for type). Struck in brass. This is an interesting piece in that the cancelled Chekiang die it is muled with a token from Bolivia. The dies for these pieces are the same size so pairing them together would have been logical. There are several reasons this may have occurred, possibly to check the pressure from the minting equipment or possibly to check the alignment of the dies.EXTREMELY FINE.
