CHINA. Pattern 50 Cents (1/2 Dollar) Struck in Silver, Year 3 (1911). Tientsin Mint. NGC MS-63.L&M-39; K-228; Y-30. Wenchao-pg. 138 #121 (rarity three stars). This pattern of proposed design, like many of the 1911 issues, was never adopted for mass production. This was due to the outbreak of the 1911 revolution which gave way to the birth of the republic and ending two thousand years of imperial rule in China.
