STRAITS SETTLEMENTS. Government of the Straits Settlements. $10, 4.3.1915. P-4b.(KNB7f-j) An early and scarce piece which is the first we have handled for the 1915 series date. Seen with overall strong color and appeal throughout and deeply inked overprints. An internal split and rust are seen and mentioned in the comments section of the PMG holder. PMG has not graded an example of this type above the VF grade and nor do we expect them to as they are highly rare in such grades. The last we handled was a Fine-Very Fine note from the 1921 series which brought $2,645.00 as lot 7124 of our November 2009 Baltimore sale.
