Within circle: al-mamlaka al-Misriya and dates, decorative vine around and value khamsa gineha above. Fr.35, KM 373. Safinaz Zulficar, who came from a prominent kirkazi (Turko-Circassian) family, was renamed Farida in accordance with the tradition begun by King Fuad in which all the names of the members of the royal family begin with the same letter. Farida bore Farouk three daughters - Farial, Fawzia and Fadia, but, unfortunately, was never able to give him the male heir he sought. The couple divorced in 1948.
