T-42. Confederate Currency. 1862 $2. PCGS Choice New 63.;No. 186. Plate 9. PF-3. This is the second nicest T-42 we have ever had the opportunity and is about as close to being fully framed as you will see for this type. Rich, boldly printed black inks and bright paper are noticed. T-42s are notoriously difficult in find well cut and this is easily one of the better cut notes you are ever likely to find. Many Confederate specialists would likely consider an Uncirculated note with these margins to be better than just Choice New but that is a subject for debate. In our Winter 2014 sale, we sold the consecutive note to this, a PMG 64 EPQ with wrinkles, for $1,762.50. The current offering is a terrific note destined for a fine Confederate type set.
