The deep chocolate-brown surfaces exhibit mahogany-red tones throughout. Low magnification picks up some microporosity in places on the reverse, though the naked eye appeal of this piece is strong. There are no marks to speak of, even under low magnification. Obverse die crack downward from the wreath to the tops of the digits 7 and 8 in the date. The obverse rim crowds the tops of STELLAT, while the reverse rim touches the bottoms of the date numerals and the tops of LIB.
