1795飘逸长发半美元 NGC MS 62。1795 Flowing Hair Half Dollar. O-105a, T-25. Rarity-4. Two Leaves. MS-62 (NGC).;Tied with one other for the top coin in the census for this variety and die state, with a single example known at AU-58, and three below that at AU-55 at both PCGS and NGC.
This exquisite Flowing Hair half dollar exhibits lustrous surfaces with matte-like fields and is bathed in cobalt, rose and gold over antique silver surfaces. The strike is above average for the type, especially on the obverse where we note crisp definition to the tresses of Libertys hair and full, bold denticulation around the border. Both sides are remarkably free from adjustment marks, as is typically seen for the series. Intense scrutiny with a glass fails to reveal any significant post-production abrasions. An important coin for the variety collector and sure to be hotly contested by those wishing to own the very best available.
