KM-Pn12. VERY RARE early decimal denomination pattern featuring a face on the standing Liberty design which never saw actual production save for the 50 Centimos denomination one year type of 1858. Very pleasing for the type with only mild wear and handling evidence consistent with assigned grade. Lightly toned and free of any impairments or evidence of attempts to improve it. Only a small handful of examples known and historically important as it is considered to be among the first foreign coins struck at a United States Mint..NGC PROOF-53.
