Obv: A bust of Liberty faces left with the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around the border and the date 1867 below. Liberty is wearing a coronet, the portrait is very similar to that seen on regular issue nickel three-cent pieces of 1865 to 1889. Rev: The denomination 5 CENTS is surrounded by a laurel wreath with the motto IN GOD WE TRUST inscribed along the upper border. The letters in the word CENTS are in a straight line. This is the single finest example of the type known to PCGS, and it is a beautiful Gem in all regards. Smooth satin surfaces are dusted with iridescent powder blue, pinkish-apricot and golden-orange toning that is most vivid when viewed with the aid of a direct light source. A charming specimen that would make an impressive addition to any collection.,PCGS# 60776. NGC ID: 29M9.,PCGS Population: just 1; 0 finer.,From Heritages New York ANA Sale, July-August 1997, lot 7284.
