Broad margins and good color are featured on this impressive $10,000 Gold Certificate. These notes survive due to a fire at the Washington D.C. post office where they were being stored on December 13, 1935. In an effort to rid the fire of fuel to burn, papers were tossed from windows with these $10,000 Gold Certificates raining down with them. This note has been hole punch cancelled and is no longer worth its face value of $10,000. It is free of the heavy water stains and fire damage many that many examples possess. There is small near the bottom left. ,
