Struck the year following the death of Charles X, when his son was just six years old. Hedwig Eleonora acted as regent at the time, having declined the proposed marriage to Charles II of England in 1661 ostensibly to remain faithful to her recently deceased husband. A one year issue, and an odd denomination that is only infrequently available. Well struck and nicely centered with a thick fully original coffee bean brown patina. A few areas of light encrustation that have not been disturbed, with all of the design elements boldly preserved.
