3.3 gms. Fr-5; KM-27; Cal-Type-97#440. Assayer H. RARE. Reported mintage of 1,341 according to Krause, and the only piece graded at NGC or PCGS. Alluring golden luster leaps from the surfaces in all directions, and provides a vivid reminder of how coinage like this was a central reason for the existence of the Spanish colonial empire. The obverse is struck thirty percent off center, but with a razor sharp date and a crisp clear castle. The reverse is nearly perfectly centered with complete cross potent on all four arms. An elusive type seen far less frequently than the larger gold denominations, and missing from most advanced collections of Peruvian gold.,NGC AU-58.,
