The somewhat cherubic character of the kings facial features convey a highly accurate portrayal of the kings appearance at the time this magnificent piece was struck. The reverse shares similar qualities, with a dual Arabic and Western date, and crisp jubilant Arabic calligraphy dominating the central design.
