The HongKong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, archival photographic proofs for $5and $10, uniface obverse and reverse pairs, c.1972,unissued types, bank crest at right, 5 and 10 inChinese characters at left, the reverse shows the HSBC building and two lions, these two notes were intended to replace the maiden series whichwere used (albeit with size changes) from 1927. For reasons unknown, this was not done and the maiden series were used until 1975 and 1983.Only the $100 was replaced by this design in 1972,mounted on card, (2 pairs), a unique and interesting for research
