Samudragupta: Gold Dinar, 7.73g, Lyrist-type, legend around king, nimbate, wearing necklace, seated on high-backed couch plucking strings of vina (lyre), footstool below, Rev Samudraguptah, goddess seated left on wicker stool, holding cornucopiae and noose, tamgha in field left (BMC pl V, 8; Bayana Hoard, pl. VI, 5-8). Slight double-striking on the obverse, very fine and rare.
