Peiyang Tientsin Bank, set of 5 original artist's sketch for the 1910 Dollar issue, a fantastic group labelled A to D plus a printed proof of the reverse, Sketch A shows the obverse with the twin dragon and fireball design at top centre, with the bank name and vignette spaces for Li Hong Zhang's portrait and bank building, Sketch B shows the basic design of the reverse, Sketch C and D are show the floral underprint of the obverse and reverse. Finally, the last piece is the printed proof of the reverse showing Manchu and Chinese text on thin paper, a comprehensive group of designs allowing us to see how banknotes are designed, presented and printed in the very early stages and far scarcer than the usual printed colour specimens or proofs,in various grade, all slabbed by PCGS 'Artist' Sketch' and a unique group of this very popular series (5)
