The finely detailed portrait of Luitpold stands in high relief on the ovoid planchet. Delicate mint frost spans across both sides, undisturbed by any but the faintest signs of handling. A true RARITY with an illustrious pedigree, as gold examples were only issued to close members of the royal family.
