A RARE issue that becomes even RARER in such elevated and sublime states of preservation as is the case here, this thoroughly enticing and engaging crown pattern glistens with immense lustrous brilliance and offers some hints of burnished toning sprinkled charmingly throughout. Sporting a wondrous design on the characters side that channels the "cash-style" coinage of the copper series, this Choice specimen should greatly intrigue those building the most advanced of cabinets and seeking quality that few others possess.<p><p><em>This Dollar is a representative of the first set of "Tai Ching Ti Kuo" silver coinage. These issues--struck in limited quantities with a familiar obverse design based upon the imperial copper issues beginning in 1906--were placed into circulation and, in less than a year, were replaced by the 1908 issues.</em>
