NY-154. New York. April 15, 1758. 10 Pounds. PMG About Uncirculated 50.No. 2204. Issued in an effort to fund a second expedition to Crown Point, this note represents an emission that had a total face value of £100,000 and was redeemable by 1768. Most surviving examples from this emission show signs of even to prolonged circulation with lightly circulated pieces like this one accounting for the outlier in conditional terms. Here full margins may be observed alongside the penned signatures of Peter Livingston, David Clarkson, and David Van Horne while the mounting remnants alluded to by PMG are easily overlooked when held against other albeit more attractive qualities including the fact that this piece is one of the finest recorded in the entire PMG Population Report. PMG comments "Previously Mounted." PMG Pop 1/1 Finer.
