1900 is possibility the rarest of the ten dates for the first series of banknotes to be released in Singapore, Penang and Malacca as part of the Straits Settlements. Only a handful of examples were seen and survived. This note is much tougher to obtain than its large format counterpart 1898. Featuring the iconic "tiger walks down a hill" painting on the reverse of the note, we are confident this offering will do way better than the conservative estimate.
