Some softness from the strike in and around the shield on the reverse.

The Elsinore Mint was active from 1607 till 1610/11. Today, Elsinore is known from Shakespeares Hamlet, and for centuries it was the hub of the Sound Dues, which had to be paid by any ship passing the sound. The dues were responsible for up to 1/3 of the annual income of the Danish state, and it is believed that the Elsinore Mint was established because of the amounts of silver and gold coming into the town. From the L.
