QING: Xian Feng, 1851-1861, iron 10 cash (18g), Board of Revenue mint, Pingding, H-22.741, cast 1855-59, graded 85 by GBCA Grading Company, XF. In 1855, another mint branch under the Board of Revenue was opened in the Pingding prefecture of Shanxi to cast iron coins. This mint initially had 29 furnaces which made it approximately the same size as a Board of Revenue mint branch) This was reduced to 15 furnaces in 1859, and the mint was then closed in August 1859.
