Fr. 357. 1891 $2 Treasury Note. PMG Choice Fine 15.A well-circulated albeit attractive $2 Treasury Note issued under the Series of 1891 that offers much in the way of color and eye appeal. This design is notable in the respect that it features a portrait of Major General James B. McPherson who was one of the highest ranking Union officers to be killed in action. Dozens of pinholes may be observed with the added aid of a backlight. PMG comments "Pinholes."From the José Octavio Busto Collection.
