Amongst the most collectible of all British types, despite being somewhat of a fantasy issue as the type is not of Royal Mint manufacture nor dies. That desirability is enhanced when encountered in a differing composition than silver, which is most commonly seen, with this example reaching a new elite status on account of its aluminum composition. The incuse design elements and legends are well rendered, and actual circulation is limited, though the surfaces show a bit of oxidation and environmental degradation, an unfortunately too common problem for the metal. Nevertheless, this representative offers the <strong>RARE </strong>chance to add the type in this composition to an advanced numismatic cabinet.
