Graded AU 53 by Zhong Qian Ping Ji Grading Company. Weight: 375.6 gms. Bar exhibits nine Kaan stamps on sides. This highly interesting example displays light attractive mottled patina with richer coloration in the protected areas. The stamps are a bit shallow, but evenly struck and complete. The face exhibits Thai script (Souvenirs 100% from Gold Shop, Chiang Khong District [in Chiang Rai Province, northern Thailand]), with each character made of small 100% punches with the inscription on the far right being made up of small INO or OUI punches like the other inscription. A highly interesting example, and the first that we can recall seeing.
