LeRoy, New York. Genesee County Bank. 18xx $10. PCGS Banknote About Uncirculated 53. Face Proof.(NY-1195-G14). Imprint of Danforth, Bald & Company, New York & Philadelphia along the bottom margin. Observing the 1990 ABNCo. sale catalog there are only two examples of this SENC type in that sale, and this is by far the finest. The sale catalog description incorrectly lists $1-$3 sheets instead of $3-$10 sheets. Featured at the top center is the Presentation of the Declaration of Independence from this imprint. The archival handling is a little heavier than usual but the note remains fully framed and sharply printed. We sold this example uncertified in our third Peter Mayer sale in March 2015 for $1,880. The institution later became the First National Bank of Le Roy (Charter# 937) in 1865.
