PMG Choice About Uncirculated 58.An incredible note from Syria and one of the finest known of this issue, which is part of the very first series issued for the country. A single centerfold is all that accounts for the grade assigned by PMG. The paper is fresh and bright, and the colors are the same, making this one of those notes that many would suspect is a specimen, as they simply do not exist in top grades in issued format (or so we thought until this note came in). The PMG population report reveals that this is one of just three notes graded at this level, with none finer. The next finest grade is down at the XF level, further cementing its rarity in this grade. An exceptional opportunity for the Middle Eastern specialist, not to be missed.
