Multi-rayed, gold bordered, white enamel star with a second smaller star superimposed. The blue central medallion displays the Chinese Sun surrounded by a gold band. The reverse is blank except for a single curved line of Chinese characters and the incuse number 390. The pin-backed red-blue-white-blue red silk moire ribbon is 49mm long and is attached to the medal by a jump ring and a double-ball suspension. The enamels are mostly intact, though chipping and small cracks are noticed in the blue enamel at 6 oclock mentioned for accuracy. The reverse displays lovely iridescent patina with areas of pale golden color throughout offering a pleasing appearance.<p><em>This is the second highest military award in the Republic of China second only to the Order of National Glory and is awarded to individuals for outstanding contributions to national security under foreign invasion. Unlike other orders from the Republic of China it only comes as a first class medal without varying degrees of commendation.</em>No
